We offer a wide variety of piercing services to minors. The policies we've established are to protect minors, their parents and our studio. We strongly encourage minors and their parents to stop into the studio and speak with one of our piercers, this will allow us to go over all details of the procedure and answer any questions you may have.
In order to receive a piercing, a minor must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. In addition, you must bring a copy of the minor's birth certificate.
If you are the parent of a minor, but you and the minor have different last names, we need documentation showing why your names are different (ie. divorce, name change, etc.) or some other legal documentation demonstrating guardianship.

The MOST common phrase we hear post-piercing is, “Wow, it’s already done? I thought it was going to be way worse!” We all have a different reaction and response to pain that is primarily determined by our attitude. The process is over incredibly quickly, and by the time you see how cool your new piercing looks, you’ll forget all about any pain you might have experienced!
Persons 18 and over can make independent piercing decisions, as long as you provide a valid government-issued photo ID. If you are under 18, you will need a verifiable parent or legal guardian present to provide and sign documentation. All parties will need to provide proper state or federal photographic identification with date of birth. Simple jewelry changes can be provided without parental consent. See our homepage for more information.
Almost every piercing has a different healing time. The majority of piercings take, at minimum, 6 months to a year to heal. This range represents an average first stage of healing, and full, complete healing can take over a year. Even if your piercing isn’t swollen or sore it isn’t necessarily healed. Your piercer will cover your piercing’s average heal time with you during your procedure so you know what to expect.
This is slightly a trick question. Sometimes yes, but mostly no, and you’d have a much easier healing process if you didn’t. There are a certain few piercings we start with rings: daiths and septum (sometimes), and there are a great many more that we don’t ever start with rings: tragus’, forward helixes, nostrils, navels, and more.
We would rather you didn’t! This is especially true for ear cartilage piercings. Sleeping on piercings can be painful and cause healing complications. Even without pain it is likely that sleeping on a piercing will result in unsightly scarring. Often the weight of the body on the jewelry will cause it to move the piercing into a crooked an unflattering position. This shifting out of alignment is especially problematic in cases of multiple or paired piercings, leaving them unflattering and imbalanced.
You should stay out of open bodies of water (ie. pools, oceans, hot tubs, jacuzzis, baths, etc.) for a MINIMUM of 4 weeks. Chemicals in treated water can irritate piercings, and the many varied bacterial strains in untreated water sources make infections imminent and difficult to treat.
Often times what people think of as an infection is simply irritation. However, left unchecked, an irritation can lead to in infection. If your piercing is not 100% come into the studio and let us look at it. If there is intense redness, heat, dark or odorous discharge or pain, seek a professional medical doctor without delay.
